Ring card and entrance
Please find enclosed your dog’s Ring Card. Against it you’ll receive catalogue and a small gift when arriving to the show. Please follow the instructions where to enter the show grounds. All dogs must arrive at the Show one hour prior to the estimated judging time, but no dog may arrive later than 12 AM. The vaccinations on all dogs will be checked; please show the dog, registration papers and vaccination certificates at the same time to the veterinarian. The gates open at 8.00 AM. Veterinarian is present until 12 AM.

Vaccinations instructions for the Dog Shows
The shows are subject to the vaccination directions approved by the Finnish Kennel Club. All dogs participating in shows or trials must have a valid certificate of vaccination against distemper and rabies. Please, check the custom regulations for importing dogs to Finland. Check also your own country’s regulations when returning.

Distemper vaccinations
The dog must be vaccinated at least twice against distemper and at least 21 days must have expired between the second (booster) vaccine and the show before dogs may be shown or participate in trials. Vaccinations for dogs under one year old are valid for a year. Booster vaccinations for dogs over one year old are valid for three years and no warning period is required. If a distemper vaccination has expired it must be renewed 21 days before the show or trial at the latest (three weeks warning period).

Rabies vaccination
At least 21 days must have expired between the dog’s first rabies vaccination before the dog may take part in shows or competitions. Rabies vaccinations are valid for one year if given to a dog under one year old. Booster vaccinations for dogs over one year old are valid for two years. However, rabies vaccinations are only valid for one year in the case of dogs taking part in ferreting trials or hunting. If rabies vaccination has expired it must be renewed 21 days before the show or trial at the latest (three weeks warning period).

Further regulations related to infectious diseases:
If the dog catches distemper, infectious hepatitis, kennel cough or other infectious respiratory passage infection, parvo virus diarrhea or other infectious gastroenteritis, a dog is not allowed to attend shows before at least two symptom free weeks have passed. The same limitation applies to symptom free dogs in the same household. External and internal parasite infections shall be duly treated before a dog is allowed to attend shows, tests, or competitions.

Dogs coming from abroad must obey the vaccination instructions by the Finnish Kennel Club as well as EVIRA´s (Finnish Food Safety Authority) valid import requirements. More instructions:

Identification
All the dogs participating in Show must be either microchipped with Indexel/ Lifechip or Datamars microchip, or tattooed. If a dog is microchipped with other than Indexel/Lifechip or Datamars microchip, the exhibitor has to provide the scanner.

Anti-Doping
The Anti-Doping rules, approved by the Council of the Finnish Kennel Club (28.5.2024) have come into force on 1.1.2025. These rules concern all the shows, trials and tests approved by the Finnish Kennel Club. Visit also www.kennelliitto.fi for current information

Cancellation of participation
Cancellation of participation cannot be done due to illness of the dog according to the Finnish Dog Show rules.
Please note that entry fee will not be returned due to lacking vaccinations or identification.

Food services
Hotel has little snacks on their reception to sell.

Raffle
Tickets for the traditional raffle are available next to the ring. Please bring some cash and support our club, prizes are great!.

Photographing
All winners will be photographed after the ring with the judge and prizes. Puppies will be photographed during lunch break on and males after the best male competition. Females and special classes after BIS competition. Also winners of challenge trophies will be photographed.
